Remington Model 7400 in 30-06

Just found out today that I'm getting a Remington Model 7400 in 30-06. The gun belonged to my uncle, who was one of my deer hunting mentors; he passed away two years ago so I'm super excited.

I don't know yet what year or specific model the gun is, but I am picking it up on Saturday.

Any advice on load and scope for this gun?

My dads shoots great with cheap ole 180 corelokts. Hard on deer too!

Hunting with an ancestors gun is special. I hunt with a .35 Rem. Model 81 Remington my uncle and grandpa used so I know your Remington will be special. Post a picture when you get it.
