Remington model 512 & 512-x sportmaster bolt ?

I have inherited my late grandfathers model 512. He also had a model 512-x. Long story short, the bolts were removed from both at some point and so far we can only find one. Do any of you guys know if both models use the same bolt? If they are different; how do you tell which is which?
 
Well I just learned an interesting fact. Apparently the 512's don't have a serial number on them. I just looked over both rifles and can't one. There are various marks on the barrels, but no serial number.
 
They headspace off the bolt handle if I'm not mistaken so I'd just chamber a few rounds in each of them and see if the bolt will close properly with them.
 
take some pics and post them on rimfirecentral in the rem section and someone will posititve ID them in short order,,or post them here and I can link them over,,some guys over there know there 22 rifles,,for sure,,

No photo account, so pics are out. Thanks for the line on that rimfire site mr. big. I'm gonna check it out. The bolt I have will go in both rifles, but sometimes it comes out of the 512 on the back stroke. No such problem with the 512-x so I'm thinking that's the one it's for. Could just be an issue with the older rifle though.

you could probably take a couple screws off a 22 made in 1917 and they could tell you what model it was and how many were made and how many are left,,
