Remington Misfires

I have heard of them having misfires. Which one?

my brother shot a doe this morning then went to shoot another one and it just clicked. i believe he didnt have the bolt all the way down though. he shoots a rem model 700 bdl classic in 300 mag.

That will do it everytime, I had it happen once, my bolt caught my bibs in a tree stand one morning.

I think the original question was about slam fires or unexpected fires. I can't say for sure, but I think those have a lot to do with people adjusting Rem 700 triggers that have no business touching them. I have several Remington rifles, and have tested them to the point of trying to make it happen and it has never happened to me.

My brother had some non-fires with his Remington bolt action 30-06 years ago...he sold the gun and got a Weatherby.
