Remington Kleenbore primers

I want to shoot remington kleenbore primers but can't find them locally. looking online most places are sold out. Gander mountain does have them but want a $20 flat fee to ship them,

Anyone shoot them? are they worth me spending the extra money to get them?

There is a reason to give them away...want more? I got some I'll give you...I shot 27 times today and went through 40 primers. They either do not fire or have to hit them more than once...I am not impressed with them

I have had nothing but good luck with them. I had the same problem with the Winchester 777 primers, they would go bang, but not touch off the charge. The Remington Kleenbores have never failed me, and its not like me to praise a Remington product.

i been trying to find some to use in my knight and i can't find them anywhere in knoxville that carries them at all can some one give me a name of a place that got them in stock to buy i tred the gander mountain in knoxville and they said they didn't carry them anymore

I bought some at Wally World last year. But that was before everyone went crazy about buying any kind of primers and you rarly see any primers there now. :(

yea i know i been shooting the klean bore primmers and now can't find them to save my hunting for nothing but one day i might find them some place or have to pay cabelea's an extry 20.00 ut just for one box of primmers or something if they got them

Do not use them with BuckHorn 209 powder. They do not ignite hot enough.

Plus I fired two of them to foul my barrel, one fizzled, the other popped.

I had good luck with them in a Remington Genesis but then I bought a CVA Kodak Pro and Whoa! They would either not fire or would have to hit them two times with the hammer. One shot I had one fire but no bang out the barrel had to out another in to make the charge go off. My opinion is that Remington has ensured that their products will ocomidate the Remington Kleenbore Primers (stronger hammer) but they may not be suitabler for other Muzzleloaders CVA kodiak Pro being one...

I no longer will use Kleenbore primers. I bought 3 packs of them last year, and only about every other one would fire. I thought maybe I got a bad batch or something.
I work hard enough to get a chance at a shot at a deer. I take care of my equipment, and I expect it to work when I need it.
The Kleenbore primers have done nothing but disappoint me.
Just my experience.

I've had problems with the Winchester 777 primers, but not the Kleenbore.

I'll gladly take the leftovers if any of you guys still have them.

me too i'll gladly take the left over's if they are any left i love mine they shoot every time i pull the trigger they just shoot good in some guns and others they don't

I've never had a problem with the Kleenbore primers either. Hmmm. Go figure. :)

I sure don't want to make anyone mad but I can point to many reasons why a primer want fire or ignite a charge and they all begin with the gun or operator. Weak hammer/firing pin, moisture,dirty or plugged nipple, load not seated deep enough, or maybe packed to tight. Now I do believe you can get a bad batch of anything.Or maybe the nipple is sized to where the primer don't fit well, and if that is the case , one could blame the gun manufacturer. I will even give you a chance to prove me wrong, send all those bad primers to me and I will check them out for you. I have never had any brand primer fail.

Do the research on the Kleanbore primers...plenty of other complaints about them on professonal reviews and other forums about using them with 777 pellets. I've also seen some reviews about them with Pyrodex but most agree that the problems are artributed to loading Pyrodex pellets backwards. The cure was the design by Winchester. Winchester's 777 209 primers are made with new technology and new ingredients. They work exceptionally well with all black powder substitutes but were aimed at helping 777 users.

aparently we 777 users need to have a little more spark to light the fire...

I believe that some guns have a stronger hammer, better sealed breech to barrel, better breech designs etc. which allows for the variation that we see...one person loves them and another curses them ;)

I have switched to the Winchester 777 and have had zero problems since...I use 777 loose (gave the rest of my Kleenbore primers to my brother to use in the Genesis...it shoots them well.
