I have a 870 express super mag, I'm wanting to invest in a slug barrel for it ..or just shoot slugs can anyone give any recommendations on barrels or what my best options would be ..Thanks

I found a cantilever slug barrel for my 870 in the Cabela's bargain cave a few years back.

Rather than a new barrel, you could shoot rifled slugs. Shoot them through either a modified, improved cylinder or rifled choke tub. I would test all them to see which gives the best accuracy.

Thanks for The help ..i guess I was just wondering if a scope was needed or worth it..i guess I need to go shoot and try it out

My 870 with hornady sst's is a 150 yard gun, I definitely wanted a scope on it.
