A good friend loaned me one of these shotguns to turkey hunt with him on a WV hunt. I killed a tom at 47 yards (range finder) with #4 shot. He kept telling me to shoot, but I kept hesitating because of the distance.

Turns out, he knew the effective range very well. ;o)
