Blast from the past seeing something with a Kmart price tag. Back when I was a kid there weren't any Walmart stores where we lived but there were Kmart's. Kmart and monkey wards were the local stores that had guns.

Nice 7400! If I didn't already have a 1956 740 in .308, a 1969 742 in .30-06, and a1974 742 in .30-06, I'd be driving to Knoxville.

The Marlin 60 was the first gun I ever bought. I now have more of a dozen, including the department store clones made by Marlin. And you sure are right about the price exploding. Five years ago, you could find them everywhere for less than $100. At auctions I've watched during the past two years, most are now going north of $300.
