Does any of you have experience with an 1100 with the English (straight) stock? Owned one, fired one, had a friend who liked or didn't like one? How much will one likely cost (in excellent condition)? If so, I'd like to read about it. I'm thinking I need one of these or maybe my grandson needs one 😀.

I owned an 1100 12 ga but I am not familiar with the straight stock model. I am not so good a shot with any shotgun but I killed geese with my 1100. Okay, okay. I have never killed a duck or a dove in flight. I do not know why I can hit a goose.
 
A real good friend of mine has 2 of them.. no amount of money would buy his.. lol.. he loves them.. I've shoulder them a few times.. they feel great! Gunbroker will give you a good idea of the cost.. a nice one.. 750-1000 if I were guessing..

Buy it for me! I'll try it out and return it in 20 years!

Beautiful shotgun. I had a 16g 1100 and sold it. Long story best told over a few bourbons and a cigar.

I had the pump special field 20 ga. It was pretty nice, only 1 shot/2dux I ever did was with it. A pretty task specific gun imo, a bird gun or squirrel dogging gun, probably not too much a general use shotgun.

I know, I saw ads, where Remington had both the 1100 and 870's advertised around 1985-86 with straight stock option for those who wanted them.
