I plant 30 acres every yr of corn on my west tn farm.
This yr the day I planted it we got a 1/2in of rain . For the next 60 days it never got a drop of rain and had 100 degree temps daily
On Sept 5 61 days after planting we got 1in of rain. The first rain since germination
We got .5 rain today

That's the only rain .

Not a bad outcome for such horrible conditions
Pretty good soil and roots were getting ground water from deep

That looks amazing! For your duck corn, what row spacing do you use, how much/type fertilizer per acre? How much longer before its fully dented do you think? I planted some corn July 12th but I guarantee it doesn't look anything like this corn. I'm trying to learn since its definitely working.

I'm currently at 80 days
It will be ready the week of halloween(black layer)
It's just starting to dent
I planted July 5th on 30in rows
Fertilizer I put down
150-23-60 w 12lb sulphur
This pic is a good representation of avg
Some of it is bigger

Really I had written off the planting and just been focusing on what I have going here in east tn.
I was surprised
