Any experience with the .308 20-in barreled Rem 700 SPS tactical (with the Hogue stock)? I/ve been looking at picking up a mid-$$$ range heavy barreled 308 and like the feel of this gun and it seems to have a better stock (with aluminum bedding) than the 700 SPS varmints.
 
I have 2 of them. The stock feels great, is very quiet when laying it out a shooting house window but will allow a little flexing of the forend. I put Timney triggers in both and both of mine are tack drivers. 1 drew it's first blood Sunday morning. Paid $509 for one and $450 (to a friend) for the last one
 
Watched a video on youtube of a guy shooting well over 1000 yards with one. I'm sure it had some extra work done, but it was capable.
