How does one use a 308 case to reload for a 7mm-08?

run the brass thru a 7-08 fl die. if you have a 308 just make sure you dont get the two mixed up after you load them.

What is a fl die and do I have to do anything else to the case.
full length sizing die. measure length and trim if necessary, probably wont have to cause it will come out shorter cause 308 is shorter and will take a couple of firings to get to 7-08 length, depends on if you are using new or fired brass. you might want to use some graphite neck lube also.

If you are using 308 military cases, you should reduce the powder charge cause they have less internal capacity. Thicker walls.
