I'll be honest the only release I've shot with in the last 8 years has been the Scott little bitty goose. very adjustable and haven't had any problems out of them.

Do either one of those have velcro because i also have to replace mine and am looking for one without velcro. By the way what is the D-loop?

Tru Fire Black Talon with buckle strap. Lots of good releases out there. I would suggest going to a pro shop and trying different styles and brands to see which one you prefer.

I use a Scott Deluxe Little Goose with a buckle strap.

A D-loop is a piece of cord you tie to the string to clip your release to. You don't have to have one. You can just clip to the string or use a release with a rope. A D-loop will help about applying torque to the string and will also keep the release from chewing up your center serving.

I shoot a scott. I bought a tru fire as a back up last year and hated it so much i gave it away.

I currently shoot the Fletcher "FletchHook" release in a buckle wrist strap design.

I will be going to the Carter RX1 shortly.
