I have a 1966 WIN model 70 that belonged to my uncle that really needs a good makeover. The wood stock and checkering is in pretty good shape with a few minor dings and scratches, but it definitely needs a new finish. The metal has no pitting or rust spots, but needs to be re-blued.
What products have you guys used or seen used that would give me the best do-it-yourself results? I would like to give this gun to my father for his birthday this Spring since it once belonged to his brother before he passed away. This is a very special gun, so I would like for it to look nice.
