Redneck power pole

Got an anchor made from trailer hitches from semi's.

Had a brain storm the other day and made me a power pole.

Cut a small tree down that was about 12' long.
Sharpened the end of it and after dropping the anchor off the back of the boat I used the trolling motor to get the front where I wanted it.

Then I shoved the "power pole" down into the mud and tied it off to the front cleat on my boat.

Worked like a charm.

Just some cheap do it yourself knowledge for ya there.

When I fish Louisiana bayou's for redfish, the guys down there routinely have a 10-foot pipe (or sometimes rebar) with a rope that they simply "spear" down into the swampy mire. Works like a charm... far more efficient than a anchor for them.
