after layin in a drawer for 20 years I finally sent it off and had it cleaned out and gassed back up and new seals put in,mounted it back in the Weaver mounts and put it back on the 25-06..

I guess ya`ll can see how much work I will have to do to the stock to fit the wierdo contour of the Shaw BBL ,,the bbl is full size for 2 inches,then a straight taper for 3 inches down to about 1 inch diamater,,then it is another straight taper to the muzzle at about .650,,

when I get the stock that Meglomanaic sent me back on it,,it will be just like it was when Daddy bought it from Glen Petruss in Carthage 1974..

I just went outside and pointed it at some stuff,,and it is almost like a video game or something,,the height of the rings,,and the eye relief are just perfect for me,,I have bought a bunch of rifles,,mounts and scopes,,and have never been able to find a combo that fits me like this one does,,

it passed the fog test,,and tracks real well,,but right at dark you just cant see through it like a Zeiss or Leupold,,but I will probably kill a couple does with it for old times sake,,

got to stop at hardware store tomorrow and get stuff to get started on the stock,
