I am trying to do this all from my blackberry while traveling so bare with me. Got to out for a few hours this morning under some tight time restraints. Could only get to 9 squirrels on my last hunt and this morning wasnt looking up. There was enough wind to keep the trees tops moving and noisy. Almost went home when by 6:30 i didnt even see a squirrel. But things finally worked out. only saw 13 squirrels. didnt think i had a chance until i doubled on 5 and 6 at 8:00. Ended up with 8 grays- one huge and two big foxes, one trimmed in silver. Bet i walked 4 miles and hunted woods i havent hunted in 20 yrs. Shot a squirrel out of an ancient oak that i last shot one out of in 1989 with my old marlin 39a, the gun i got for my 14th birthday. it was a good gun, but i will take my little cz any day. saw turkeys, about 20 deer and no people. great morning. I will kill one more limit and i am done till next year.
