Have ladino and buck forage oats in. Debating whether to return and add some red clover and/or winter wheat early October. Given that time of year, would you hold off on the red clover until Spring? Regarding the wheat, I'd like to add it since oats won't last long after the first frost. I might just add the wheat. Any thoughts?

If you planted the brand name Buck Forage Oats and not the ones that places like TSC carries the frost wont hurt them. My Buck Forage oats are always still nice and green when season ends, the plot spike or whatever they are cant survive the cold. Made that mistake one time to save a dime and wont try that again.

I got the brand name BFO (Seed Ranch mistakenly shipped it instead of the Jackson winter Wheat I ordered). Looks like I'm set other than to put down some more like. I'll frost seed some red clover next Feb. Thanks for the help.
