The object would be to nail the arbor hole, which would be cool.

I wish I kept all the old ones because this is a good idea.

Reactive targets. I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars for steel reactive targets. I am hanging them with picture wire. It is a work n progress. First test worked pretty good. Only broke the wire twice and spun 2 around the top post out of probably 30 hits with a 44 special. Interestingly enough, it did not puncture the blades. The smaller blade hardly even got a dent. Trying to think of a way to mount a spring loaded targets on the bottom post. The top post is lined with eye screws about every 4 inches.

I think if you secure the bottom of the blade either you will punch a hole or tear the blade off the mounts.


Need a rod with the targets hanging off it to allow the target to swing, dispersing energy, instead of being demolished.

Thats why I let them hang. By letting them hang, they disperse the energy and do not do as much damage to the targets and they last longer. I was thinking about increasing the wire strength to keep it from breaking but that would not prevent the spinning around the top post. Using a rod is a good idea. I will look into that. I may try coat hanger wire next. Thanks.

Home depot has these long threaded rods, reasonable in price i think, and you get some big washers and lots of nuts and position everything using the nuts and washers to maintain spacing etc.

As for wire.....coat hangers are good, wally has them

Home depot has those little flags on wire sticks you stick in the ground next to your sprinkler heads....
