Seen this interview were they asked saban how he always gets the best players and a top recruiting class every single year. He said its easy!!!! All he does is set all his N/C rings out on the coffee table when they visit lol.

There is a lot of truth to that statement. I remember when Vol fans(and others) were making fun of Bama fans for following recruiting so closely. Recruiting matters for sure...but it doesn't solve all problems. Lots of teams have consistent top 10 recruiting classes and struggle to win more than a mediocre number of games.

Yup but what teams brings in a top 10 class year after year and cant win? Not saying your wrong just wondering.
its not all about recruiting but its a HUGE part but your right you still need to coach.

Yup... Fans are always looking for the silver lining when things aren't going well. Good example would be UT fans pointing out that they have a better recruiting class than FL before signing day. These fan realize that their team can't beat FL on the field so they search for something to hang their hat on. This helps with sayings like "hope" and "next year". We need to be more understanding and let the process continue... :mrgreen:

A poster on volnation has some very interesting stats showing that the 4 year average recruiting rankings determines 70% of the games played. Home field advantage and coaching play much less role in predicting wins.

BAMA good team
Texas A&M last couple years good teams with johhny football.
Auburn good teams
FSU not lost a game in two years
OHIO st had good teams top 4 this year.
Most teams that recruited good^^^ had some very good years.

Very true,Florida had top recruiting classes but Mushchamp didnt know what to do with them!! :poke:

That doesn't change that both Bama and FL beat Ut in football this season and the season isn't over yet. . :tu:
