Shot a deer at about 75 yds he was facing me and turned slightly to the right.

The 240 gr. bullet did it's job as a hollow point by expanding and transferring its energy to the target. It entered behind right shoulder and was recovered just under the skin in front of the left ham. Mushroomed and held together nicely.

The deer ran about 40-50 yards but was falling all the way. Less than 5 seconds from the shot to him piled up on the ground.

Nice!!! Been shooting the 300 grain XTP for a couple years. Three bucks that I shot were pass thrus so I was unable to recover the bullet.

I have the same bullet that I got out of a doe shot facing me. It looks exactly like that one. A perfect mushroom! I also shot it over 100gr of 777. After I cleaned it up good it still weighed 230gr.

100gr. Hodgdon triple 7 pellets (2 pellets)

I shoot 100 gr. of WhiteHots with Winchester 777 primer. I harvested a 6 pointer just south of you in Lynnville two weeks ago with the a hornady XTP 240 gr. Great place to hunt and some beautiful country.
