Recommend me a Taxidermist

Hey guys I'm on the fence on whether or not I'm gonna mount the buck I killed a few days ago. The fact that I shot it on public land, with a bow, and on my birthday has really kind of got me wanting to mount it instead of doing a European mount. With that being said I'm looking for suggestions on good taxidermist that can do unique mounts. I have a taxidermist that I've used for all my bucks and he does a really good job but he strictly just does mounts on plaques. I'm looking to maybe do a mount on barn wood possibly or really any unique mount like that. I know I've seen some of your guys mounts on here and they look awesome. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Don't know where you are located but I always use Jones Taxidermy in Franklin TN. He is a member on here and if you look thru the taxidermy forum, you can see some of his work.

Jones taxidermy. He moved to Dickson area I believe. He does good work.

When you say unique mount are you talking maybe a custom form? Otherwise you can make your own barn wood plaque or custom plaque. Thought about a pedestal mount?

When you say unique mount are you talking maybe a custom form? Otherwise you can make your own barn wood plaque or custom plaque. Thought about a pedestal mount?

Not really sure to be honest I like the idea of a pedestal mount but the space it takes up is my only concern. I'm really just looking for something different then just a regular wall mount. If anyone has pictures of bucks that they've had mounted in unique ways I'd love to see them and know who did them for you.

Aren't you from Cleveland? Check out shipmans. He's just across the state line. They are the only ones I'll let touch my deer. I took him one 2 weeks ago and he said he's backed up but he is WELL worth the wait!

Yes I'm right outside Cleveland. I actually live 5 minutes from the state line. I'll check him out.

Yeah that's what I've been looking at. I've found some cool ideas that I may see if a taxi can do.

He used to be on Gosey Hill. Looks like he moved in the last month or so. Now he is on Yellow Creek Rd out in Dickson.
