need to get a new rest on my bow after season is closed up. Currently just have a whisker biscuit right now. A buddy has recommended a rip cord but are there any other rests i should be looking at?

I have a QAD Ultra-rest on mine. I like it pretty well, and have heard good things about the Code Red drop away rests.

Don't let the WB
Haters talk you into something your going to be unhappy with, unless gaming or target shooing is your thing the WB is more than sufficient for deer hunting. I love that it totally captivates the arrow.

I've used every drop away out there, and my second favorite rest out there is the Ripcord Code Red; however, the best drop away out there right now is the Medusa Max by Bowfinger Archery right here in TN. The rest is full-containment and it activates much quicker than any other rest I've seen and you can micro-adjust the timing without having to un-serve/re-serve the timing cord. It can also be locked in the up position and stays up in case you need to let down. The main thing I like about it, is that it has fewer moving parts and it will not bounce back during the shot.

I have shot my hdx for a few years and love it! I also have shot the TR revolution and really liked it too...

Why do you need a new rest?

Every couple of years I get to tinkering and try the "latest and greatest" rest on the market. Somehow the WB keeps ending back up on my bow. I travel a lot to bowhunt and need something that is reliable and I know will function right when just getting to a vehicle is a days hike away.

Do yourself a favor and avoid the Ripcord series of rest! The Medusa drop away from Bowfinger is about as bullet proof as you can get!

I've got a trophy taker smackdown pro. Had it for about a year. So far so good. I haven't tried all the others to compare, but mine works fine. Easy to install and adjust.

Medusa max by bowfinger for me. Very durable rest. I have used for hunting and 3D and have zero complaints. The launcher is the neediest ive every fooled with.

Well just a little info...my hdx has sporadically stopped functioning this week...after a little research I found out that the interior gears for the rest are made out of plastic...granted I have over 1500 shots on it it is giving me problems...QAD said to send it in and they will take care of it!!! Just some info hopefully to help you out
