Okay, I did not know either.

Some research turned up it is a french word (I thought so) and it means that piece of cloth women used to wear around their throats as if they do not want you to see their throat. It also describes a piece of rock with two holes that smart rock people think was used in a similar fashion. That is, a form of jewelry.

Well, I wanna know how an ancient Indian guy, all studded up, would get a hole clean through a piece of rock. Or, If Indian wife was doing the hole punching, how? And why wasn't she off scraping buffalo hides or something?
