Really should had this officially weighed

I caught this largemouth out of a pond when I was young fellow, maybe 13 or 14 years old. Lost the picture for a long time but found it today. It was 28 inches long, not to fat just long. I just released it but never did catch it again.

At 28" I dno't see how it, as a largemouth, could not be 28" long. That is an amazing fish. Nothing like those farm ponds.

I weigh fish every weekend at tournaments so I have seen a bunch of whoppers. My best guess would be 8.5 to 9 pounds.


For comparison only here is a picture of a known weight Largemouth bass. This one was caught by Eddie White and weighed 6.40 Pounds. Your is at least 2 pounds bigger than this one.

Awesome fish Steven...there is a pond near you that also has some nice bass and gills in it. Haven't seen one quite that big since we fished Okachoobee
