To all my fellow gun lovers . What's the value of a one yea old remington made marlin 45/70 gbl model ? It dosnt have any issues.

i probably wouldn't give over 500 for one unless it came with scope mounts and a sling

This is the lever-action one and I am wagering the recoil is probably a bit rough. might warrant some more in-depth research before you spring for one that appears to be a good deal. I recall the 336c 30-30 kicked like a mule.

They are ranging from $570 - $729 on gunbroker.com. Buds Gun Shop brand new on the low end of that range.
I paid $650 for mine, got it new at the local shop for Christmas last year. I had read about all the Remlin issues so I gave it a good look see. The new Remlin's aren't the same fit finish as the old Marlins, then again, what is? Mine works just fine.
My 12 year old son likes shooting it just fine. Yea it recoils but the fat recoil pad makes it more of a shove/push, not sharp at all. We shoot mostly factory 300g stuff and the Hornady 325g FTX.
By way of comparison, he does complain after about 30 rounds of 7.62x54R with the Mosin Nagant M44.
