I always keep a can of it handy! Works great for getting some extra distance on your casts.

some guys on youtoobs did some testing with it and they didnt get any more distance. they got more distance with d-funk and l&l. lews has a water based product out this year about half the price of l&l.

i use it as a final bearing cleaner when i rebuild reels. its a siliconized solvent, almost the same as wd-40 specialist silicone, crc food grade silicone and blaster silicone. the solvent they use is isoparrafin, which is basically naptha without the residue.

keep it out of the inside of your reel particulary dont let it run down the sides of the spool. this is what it does to high grade reel bearing grease, it dossolves the piss out of it:
