Was playing with the mountain rifle the other day and videoed a 320gr REAL bullet going through two one gallon jugs of water and then into my sand bucket.

Keep in mind that this bullet I made was cast with a mix of pure lead and wheel weight lead. Just was experimenting with harder leads for fun.

The next test i will use pure lead.
 
thats what ive been thinking about doing! I don't want to go to deep otherwise they'll be act like a powerbelt but i do plan on trying it as soon as i make something to hold the bullet center in the drill press.
 
Will do. I'm not in the know about ballistics and such to the degree I know I need to be, but I was thinking about putting some spiraling onto/into the cone...what do ya'll think about that? My thought process was, that since the rifling was creating spin on the way out the barrel, then some "rifling" along the nose of the bullet might help stabilize somewhat. Thoughts on this idea much appreciated. ;)

I use sabots btw, so thinking with no rifling on the actual projectile, putting some rifling actually onto the bullet may help. Any thoughts?
