Re-blueing ?

I have an older Sears & Roebuck 20 gauge youth I traded for. I have refinished the stocks but would like to try my hand at re-blueing. I know there is some knowledgeable people on this sight and would appreciate advice on what to do and what not to do. barrel is in decent shape but the reciever appears to be a thicker or even painted but from the factor. Advice appreciated love offerings spent! LOL

Thanks for the insight. That is what I was expecting to hear but thought I would get a second opinion. I would like to have it hot dipped but I'm sure the cost would be more than the gun is worth. THought about just trying to paint but not sure that would work.

You might try rust blueing. It's doable at home. You can make you boiling pan out of a section of gutter.
