RCBS bushing die help

I just upgraded to the RCBS gold medal bushing die for my .308. I'm a little confused by the instructions and can't find much help on YouTube. When setting up this die, can I use the bushing and bump the shoulder in the same operation? Also, any opinions about using bushing dies versus regular expander ball mandrel.

Yes you can bump the shoulder and size the neck at the same time. The expander ball is provided if you choose to run the brass without turning the necks. If you do turn the necks to a uniform thickness and select the proper bushing you do not have to use the expander ball.
