I sit in a wood line stand over looking a field this morning. As soon as I got good light in my scope I grabbed the rattle bag and had at it for a min give or take followed by some soft grunts. 2 min after that sequence this 8 pt. came out into the field looking for the commotion. He was approximately 80 yards out when I let him have it. I have never even shot at a deer during muzzleloader, so this is my first with the smoke pole. He was down @ 6:55. Fun, quick hunt!!!! Not my biggest but boy did he have a big body.
