Been thinking about buying one for this coming archery season.
Is it a good idea or should I keep the money?

Also, if I choose to buy one would it matter if I didnt buy one with angle compensation? Im gona be hunting from a treestand but cant really spend alot of money on one with angle compensation.

For bowhunting I think they are an excellent tool.
I like to scan around my tree and mark yardages before the deer show up. Very useful.
I have a cheap Bushnell yardage pro 450 (I think) and it does very well.
Anything out past 100 yards, in my opinion, all range finders are useless however.
Just too dang hard to hold on target and get a reading.
For bow hunting though, I would say buy one.
Don't worry about the angle compensation stuff, again, in my humble opinion.

I'm like you CC they're to many to choose from. This will be my daughters first year hunting so,I want the yardage to be correct instead of a guess by me.

Yeah there are alot of choices, but I narrowed them down ALOT by price. I didnt want to spend $300-400 so I just chose to get one with good reviews and a nice pricetag.
