Well got to the range today. I was shooting the 22-250 Hornady Custom series 60g soft points. I don't know if I was unconcious while doing this or what was going on. But all in all it was a very repeatable round. Accuracy was the best I have seen with factory ammo of any kind. After the barrel warmed up 30 shots or so into it. The groups started to open up a bit, either beacause I was having too much fun or because the gun was warm. Either way I am pleased.
This is at 200 yards, slight breeze, drizzle, off sandbags.
Is this acceptable or can it be better?

you can probably do a ton better with a lot of trigger time, at least it works for me.

keep shooting till you never loose sight of target even when firing, when I shoot my .46-65 Shiloh Sharps after the smoke clears I am still looking at target

Well alot has to do with me too. Not having something to sit on while shooting from a bench is kind of a pain. I really need to start handloading instead of fooling with factory ammo. But for me, this is a step in the right direction! I was tickled to see this group with factory ammo today.

I have not tried any 55g bullets through it yet. Just some V-Max 50's and these soft point 60's. Of the two, the 60's are more accurate. I need to find some good 55's and see what those do I suppose.

For 200 yards that is a really good group. Not sure what power scope you have either, but I'd be very happy with that.
