On the plateau, it has been a cool and wet summer. It must be good for the deer herd as everything is really lush and green.
BSK, do you have any thoughts on this?

Rainy, cooler summers are good! More browse, better acorn crops in fall.On the plateau, it has been a cool and wet summer. It must be good for the deer herd as everything is really lush and green.

Partially. It's not just El Nino. It's El Nino in combination with several other weather conditions, especially the abnormally warm waters of the Atlantic.El Niño?
Actually, more. When food sources are high in water content, the deer tend to need more salt.Has it been your experience that deer use minerals less in these wet, cooler conditions, BSK?
It would be nice if you told the deer in Wilson County this!!!Actually, more. When food sources are high in water content, the deer tend to need more salt.
I could use a good tryst with such a broad.Rainy summers sounds like a strippers name
Mine appear to be used less this year. Perhaps they are drinking the water puddled up in the lick and still getting some benefit.Actually, more. When food sources are high in water content, the deer tend to need more salt.
