I am thinking about getting me a good rain suit for fishing this year.

What are some really good ones and how much should I expect to pay ?
 
I fish a lot in the rain and have a Bass Pro Pro Qualifier rain suit. It has never leaked, and I have had it for quite a few years. They usually put them on sale during their Spring fishing classic. I know a lot of people that have either these or the 100MPH Bass Pro suit. I would recommend mine to anyone.
 
I have the pro qualifier also. Wait until the sale like tnlarry said. The 100mph is warmer from what I hear with the liner... which is why I bought the pro qualifier suit. I'm pretty hot natured. When its 20 degrees outside I wear a pair of Carhartt duck paints and a tshirt and sweatshirt under the suit and I stay warm. I usually take the jacket off when not moving.

If you're cold natured like my fishing partner, the 100mph may be the way to go. They will go on sale at the same time.
 
trust me when i say this...i fish somewere around 100-120 days a year and use a rainsuit alot!!!!! if you want a good rainsuit to fish in and keep u dry i would go with the cabelas guide wear.. get the parka and the bibs... regular price your looking around 500bucks.. sometimes you can find them in the bargain cave for 1/2 price... if you fish alot in the winter get the insulated bibs... if you want it for spring thru summer get the uninsulated.....i have had a pair of them since 2005 and there still going strong... there the uninsulated type and the only thing that gets wet on me is around the cuffs on my hands..

I bought a Frabill F4 this year and although I haven't worn it much yet it appears to be top notch. They have thought of every little detail on these new rain suits.
 
X2 on the Cabelas, they will go on sale later in the winter. The pro qualifier or 100 mph from bass pro is good too. Also check out the misc. for sale board on BBC, seen some really good deals there on some quality rain gear.
 
I wear Columbia regen rain pants and a Columbia rainstorm jacket. Both are uninsulated. If it's cold I just layer up underneath them. I have worn this combo multiple times in absolute downpours and in mid 30 degree rain. They've never let me down and I've never been wet underneath them. I just bought another pair of the pants right before Christmas for like $20. If you don't need insulation and don't need camo save yourself some money and try this combo before you break the bank on a high dollar rainsuit. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
 
cabelas guide wear or bass pro 100 mph are both very good suits! but are a little pricey up front, i have had the guide wear suit for 4 yrs now and no problems so far
