Not cheap but lifetime guarantee. I don't easily forget all of the times that I've stood out in the rain thinking how I'd give $50 to not have water running down my back!! Those experiences add up quick to $300
 
Rain coat

For that money you could almost get a Sitka Downpour Gore-Tex jacket. They appear on Camofire and other discount sites periodically.

I never thought I'd own anything Sitka, but favor of the Lord put me in the right place at the right time back when Cabela's still had the Bargain Cave. I've never had it leak, and I've hunted some soakers.

For any rain jacket make sure it doesn't make noise rubbing on things. Many camoflage rain jackets and pants keep you dry, but are noisy as heck in the woods.

I second the Sitka. It is more expensive but is gor-Tex. I duck hunt a lot as well and the Sitka is top of the line. Like others when your wet and cold, the expensive part doesn't seeM so bad. I'm not a fan of frogg toggs for anything other than light rain. Took these bear hunting to Canada and wasn't pleased at all.
