After cleaning up my arrow monday evening i looked at my rage broadhead and it looked different than he other 2. After further examination i noticed i have one 1 1/2 cut and two with 2 inch cut. They must have came that way. Just so happen i picked the arrow with the 1 1/2 cut and shot that deer and it worked just as well as the 2 inch cuts. So if you are having penetration issues you might want to try the 1 /2 cut.

Rage and many other heads may have width variation from head to head depending on the diameter of the arrow shaft if the blades make contact with the shaft when fully open. I know that the Sidewinder does.

I didn't know rage made a 1 1/2in cut vesion. That is the main reason I quit using them was lack of penetration. They seem to work pretty good on deer but without a pass through there was never much of a blood trail to follow.
