Rabbits pretty much took over my garden...
They dig a small bed next to the tomatoes on the shady side and lay around all day.
Carrots did not stand a chance as they dug every single one up the past 3 weeks down to the root.
Green beans... after planting the 3rd time I fenced them off and it looks like I will have green beans.
Corn....disaster Something knocks the stalks over and eats the small ears ( about 2-3 plants per night) LOL
Squash did fine but now the squash bugs are invading.
Hot peppers...nothing will touch them
Same with Okra... you cant give it away
Cucumbers... usually cant stop them from growing but its been slow this year
Good thing I have some local Amish, because this years garden hasn't done very well.
 
put the hot peppers on other plants to keep the animals from eating them. Use ground cayenne and sprinkle it on the leaves or ground so they get a good burn when they try to eat your stuff. A few years ago I had a baby rabbit eating my beet tops, and I put a quick stop to it with a little cayenne powder.
 
I know a way to solve the rabbit problem

You would think I have a petting zoo here.
Wildlife just took over. Had 7 deer in my yard just before dark.
They must know I don't hunt my own yard.
Of course it is all my fault I spill horse feed out (cracked corn) and they visit my yard 24/7
I have a brush pile ready to burn when it dries out and it has been piled for a few months. It's basically a rabbit resort.
They dont even run from me anymore.
I enjoy seeing them but next year I will fence off the entire garden.

Bean field behind my house finally grew enough that the rabbits are staying out of my garden.
Of course they got everything that wasn't fenced in.
Just glad they haven't figured out to dig under the fence yet.
