I miss the old days when quota hunt results were mailed to you, before the computer came along. Now I am like a kid waiting for Santa at Christmas. I keep going to my computer and checking for the drawing results several times a day. I am driving my self crazy waiting for Santa, I mean the quota hunt results. Merry hunting to all and to all a good night.

LOL! Yep. I was so exciting to get those green papers in the mail...then to be the first one to call your buddies and tell them you got drawn. Those were the good ole days! :tu:

I miss the good ole days when they're were almost double the opportunities on the application. I would check the mailbox everyday hoping for another trip to Cumberland springs.

It was just a few years ago it was like that fellers... i love the use of technology to make things faster.... when it works. I remember the same thing. I checked the mail everyday just like i do the online version... once they started the online version i started calling my uncle and telling him the results were up because he doesnt use the internet. He would give me his info and id look it up for him. U dont have to get online, but id prefer finding out a little quicker than waiting on my green card... we live in a time of instant results and im guilty of liking it that way. When i give tests in school now, a lot are online and the test is scored immediately when the kid finishes for instant feedback. Helps me and them out. I always hated waiting on my teacher to grade my tests. Id get anxious waiting to see how i did

To bad TWRA's Quota system can't work as well and give result immediately after the deadline for application for the quota hunts. What do you teach?

I remember those days well and the hunts themselves were an adventure in camping and hunting. I suppose it's still exciting for those with not much experience in hunting but after 40 years of it I lost a lot of that yesteryear fire. A good buck in front of my stand sure helps to bring it all back in a hurry, lol.

A few decades ago, being drawn for a quota hunt was typically a much bigger deal than it is today.

Back then, we did not have open deer seasons in many counties,
and a "draw hunt" on a WMA that had deer was the primary opportunity many had for a deer hunt.
While that may be true today for some, it was true for many more back then.

Believe it or not, many people in West TN used to travel to East TN to go deer hunting,
simply because many West TN counties had no deer season.

5th grade math and science... room is full of deer skulls and sheds and turkey fans. Lots of camo. Haha. The kids love it.
Good for you. Thank you for the very important job you do in educating our young people.

But the Powerball program can report within a matter of hours if and where a winning ticket was sold.

Different equations involved, but realistically a couple days should be sufficient. This is a new vendor in charge and it seems change=problems.

I'll take the new system over the old any day. They may have a screw-up this year, but on average, it is much faster.
