Quota hunt changes?

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, it seems like most if not all the state quota hunts now count against your statewide limit. When did this start. I didnt get drawn last year but two years ago it was a bonus bird. Also, I guess he Upper Obion River complex new for this year? I have hunted all of those WMAs in the past but they werent quota. Will they be open any with the statewide season or quota only?

PS, I know I could look all this up but figured someone may know already.
 
All of this year's quota hunts that were on last years application are bonus birds. Only the birds taken on the new WMA's added to this year's Quota Hunts are non-bonus.
 
I havent done a turkey quota so I don't know. Williamsport WMA has open deer hunts that are bonus and open turkey hunts that are not bonus and I wish they were. Maybe it's a good thing though, too many people might hunt there if it was bonus.

I stand corrected. Just spoke with a TWRA personnel and it has been changed to non-bonus due to the turkey population there.
 
So did I. But, as usual, TWRA didn't proof read their material before they printed it. Although the Hunting Guide said so, the Quota Hunt Application did not mention that Shelby Forest quota hunts would not be bonus birds this year. I cry fowl!!!! :o
