When I shoot my bow, I've been getting some smacking noise. Anybody use the Quickee quiver? When I remove the quiver, the sliding mounts has a metal part that flexes back to allow the quiver to slide on the mount. That same metal part I think is a source of noise. Anybody know of any quiet quiver mounts?
 
I have never had any problem with the bracket making noise . Make sure you have the rubber gasket between the quiver bracket and sight mount to absorb any vibration and to reduce noise . Make sure the screw on the spring steel is tight .

Take your quiver off when you shoot , and buy a screw in bracket to place your quiver on for treestand use . I also mount an extra bracket on my Summit Open Shot on the right side to place my quiver while hunting .
One more tip : Take a loop of 1" webbing with a velcro fastener and attach it to the back side on the hood of the quiver . You can also attach your quiver to tree limbs this way .
 
I have a mount on my stand do I can shoot with it off. That metal piece is tight. It shouldnt make noise. My uncle said his was making a racket and it turns out he didnt have the knob on his quiver that tightens in down to the bracket so it makes a racket when he shoots it. it is an easy thing to over look. Make sure you have it on and it is screwed in tight.

I also take and drill a 3/16" hole on both sides where the hood goes into the straight piece and run a piece of rope through the holes making a loop and this allows me to hang the quiver from anything, treestand, limb, screw in step or bow holder.
 
I do not shoot with my quiver on, but the mounting bracket is a source of noise. I will look at some solutions, since the metal strip that flexes back to allow the quiver to slide on is a source of noise.
 
You could buy another mounting bracket. They're not expensive and it may not rattle. You could use the one you have now and attach to your treestand or something.

Ditto , I have bought extra brackets at Academy Sports and Outdoors .
 
I removed the metal spring with the red tab in the left portion of the picture last night. The quiver still fights nice and snug on the mount without it. When I shoot, that red tab and spring assembly has got to be flexing and making the "popping" sound. I will find out today. I also adjusted my string tamer to within a credit card gap of the string and tightened all the screws down on the bow.

Quiver may still fit snug but without the locking tab the quiver has the chance of just "happening" to come off or become lost somewhere. May be able to re attach the spring steel with some moleskin or felt on it to deaden the twang.
