Anyone hunt beside a highway during turkey season and notice a lot of people feel the need to honk there horn if they know you're hunting? I hunt there during deer season and no horns blowing. This has been happening for years, but I finally decided to ask the experts. :) Just wondering if it's other turkey hunters trying to "help" with the shock gobbling with some birds, and I have to admit i have heard a bird or two gobble after a horn has blown, but I've never been lucky enough to benefit from this.

A place I hunt has birds that hang out by the road. I've been a ways off and know people have no clue I'm there and they'll honk at them. The last week of the season this year I was pretty close to them but hidden from the road. It was 7:00 in the morning and a truck came by with what appeared to be teenagers in the back. They just hollered at the birds and all of a sudden 2 hens and the longbeard flew across the road. There were 3 jakes too and they went back and forth fifty times before finally feeding off right by me. I let them go on their merry way but was so close to the big one and they dang sure ruined it. Oh well that's how it goes.
