Ok headed back to Arkansas for the first three days of the light goose conservation season first of Feb 2016. My groups dates at Feb 1/2/3 and am counting down the days already. Now my question is on how many shells the Stoger M3500 will hold. I know it will hold 5 3 inch with the plug out, I am thinking of loading for the 4th & 5th shot a 3 1/2 inch shell in BBB shot size just to get a tad more range. Will this gun allow me to do so. Don't want to spend the money for couple boxes of 3 1/2 inch shells if I can't do this load.
Gun shoots great with the 3 inch BB loads I shot this past hunt. Running a Heavy Shot mid range choke in it and was knocking down geese at 40+ yards. Even the outfitter was asking what load and choke I was shooting. Guess he got tired of walking in the Arkansas rice field mud to pick up dead geese out further than the rest of the guys were killing :rotf: . I told him my job and the reason I was paying him was to work him to death picking up dead geese. Just want to try something different.
