I hunted a new to me spot on Priest this morning and was covered up. Problem is my set up was just a little off and they kept coming in behind me. The first 2 does slipped in behind me and I was looking at something in front of me, with my binos and I heard the tell tale twig snap over my left shoulder. Eased around and she was about 10 yds away. she just eased out and then I saw a 2nd deer with her. 5 minutes later hear something behind me and it is a nice young 6 pt and his buddy who was also a nice young 6 or 7 pt. I had no intention of shooting them, so I just watched. Unfortunately the 6 pt walked right up to my tree on the side i came in from and spun around then stiff legged it out of there. Not 10 minutes later all heck breaks loose behind me and I see a doe running and she has 2 fawns with her. i figure she was down closer to the lake and ran into my scent trail where I walked in. She then proceeded to circle me and blow. She left, and I figured what the heck it's only 7:45, sit tight. well about 8:30 the wind starts swirling and I notice it blows the direction that I thought the deer would come from. No sooner did I make note of it, another deer that I couldn't see is blowing in the woods. At this point I am ready to get down, but think you were gonna sit till 9 and its 8:30, so you may as well stay now. Wind was blowing right again, and I waited till 9. Wind swirled and you guessed it, another deer blowing at me...

I found a better tree that I should have found when i originally scouted, and it will put me in a different spot (i can see the tree I was in this AM), but I'll be like 50 yds away from it.

My question is would you hint it tomorrow?

I would.... Especially if you think that tree is better... Those pp deer are used to being spooked...

I wouldn't but that's just me. Maybe ok in different tree. Sounds like a great spot, though, and should produce for you in the very near future. I had three does come under the red oak with acorns I was in this morning. I tried to make a move and the one right below me either smelled something or looked up and there they went. Not sure if any actually saw me or not but I picked out a tree 10 yds closer to my access route and farther away from the red oak with acorns, with better cover. Rookie mistake. I should've known not to be in that tree with a bow. I'll give the spot a rest at least a week.
