I have a Winchester 70 supershadow 243 wssm that I bought 10 years ago when they first came out. It's the first rifle that I bought myself and it's sentimental to me. It shot moa when it was new and eventually I began handloading for it. I sent several crazy hot 55 grain loads thru it and overall it probably has had 1500 rounds thru it. The throat is starting to show some wear and Ive heard thats common for that round due to high pressures. It doesn't hardly shoot moa anymore, but here's my question: At 200 yards from a bench, why would the cold barrel shots group together 5" right of the bullseye and the warm barrel shots group together 1" right of the bullseye? It seems odd to have over 4" of lateral distance between the very first shot on a cold barrel and the second shot.
