I have a Remington Mohawk 48 with a full choke. If I stick to #4 shot or smaller will I be ok to shoot steel shot?

I wasn't sure, so I forwarded your question to my colleague Jeff in customer service. He's a very talented shotgunner and gunsmith.
He comments that your gun was not designed for steel shot, and using it could damage your barrel and choke. He recommends that while some may use bismuth in these older barrels, you should only use lead shot in your barrel.
