I just bought a used Encore barrel with a Nikon omega scope on it. I've never messed with the bdc reticles and probably won't give it much thought of them being on there. But what are they supposed to be dead on at? I have a 50 yard bench where i sight all my stuff in. Am i supposed to sight it in at 100 and it go up from there or is 50 ok? I'll be shooting 100gr pellets with 250gr hornady sst's.

And no im not waiting til the last minute to sight my stuff in. I'll be hunting Ky this weekend or until i tag out then ill start hunting Tn.

You are correct. If you don't use that load you can also get on nikons website and put in your load info and use it that way. Google Nikon spot on
 
I have been using one for years on my t/c omeaga..you don't have to use 150g with a 250g bullet to make it work..just sight it in dead on at 100 yds..back off to 250 yds and take 3 shots aming dead on the bulls eye with the crosshair..then use use the zoom to put the bottom circle on the 3 shot group..make a note of what zoom range your at..thats all there is too it..once you get to 100yd and 250yd shot the rest of the circles fall into place..cross hair is 100yds..first circle 125yds..2nd 150..3rd 200..bottom one is 250yds..works great..i love mine
