Quail / pheasant hunters ??

We are in Kansas now, they web said both where in better numbers this year but we can't find any. Does any one else hunt out west? if so would you mind shooting me some advice as to where we might find some birds ? We ain't against packing up and driving to another area or state.

No. We left weds. Never had any luck

Don't be too disappointed. I hunt there,quail mainly but take pheasant and prairie chickens whenever I can. I hunt primarily public land, there is a learning curve. A good dog here in the south is average there in my opinion, takes them a little while to figure them out. I had good dogs run right over birds that would flush under my feet.
