puttting up for winter

It's not been the best year for a garden but fortunatly I have managed to freeze 20 quarts of okra, and around 100 ears of Golden Queen corn, and pickled 15 pints of pickled beets so far. Hopefully I will have some more corn come in later, I already have way too much okra and don't plan on freezing anymore.
My tomatoes are starting to come in faster than I can eat or give away so the wife will be busy in a week or so canning them.
We didn't put out any green beans this year as we had probably 20 or so quarts left over from last year.
It aint much but those vegies will taste mighty fine with [hopefully] some fresh venison this winter.
Hope everyone else has a bountiful garden this year..............

Nice! I'm with A. Hall. Most of my okra gets pickled.

Ever tried dehydrating it? I love it that way for a snack or to put into soups during the winter.

Never tried pickled okra, or dehydrated either. May just have to give it a try.

Simplest (and VERY good) is Mrs. Wages mix. I add in a jalepeno or two, some mustard seeds, pepper corn, and a clove or two of garlic.
