Pursuit LT loads?

Just bought my son a Traditions pursuit lt and need some possible loads. I would like to shoot triple seven for the powder. Anybody have an accurate load for this gun?

I bought the same one a year ago.great gun.I use 777 powder (pellets)and 777 209 primers with 245 gr.powerbelts and 100 grain
pellets.150grain 777 and 295 powerbelts aren't bad either.

Thanks Bertman, I will try the 100 grain load, but my son is 8 so no 150 loads. Is that first load fairly accurate? Have you ever tried the shockwaves or sst bullet?

Further explanation: This juvenile hunt will be my sons first deer season. My neighbor will let him hunt, but NO high power, shotgun or muzzleloader only. So I figured the smokepole would be more accurate, and if he can't handle the 100 gr. load, I could maybe use loose powder and reduce it some.

shockwaves work good to.very accurate load with 100gr.You could use loose powder and take it down to 80 or 90 grain.I have been wanting to try the sst's.If you try them let me know how they work please.

Anybody ever try the 200 grain shockwave? Are they too light to stabilize?

I've not tryed the shockwaves but I did try the 240gr XTP and they did'nt shoot well out of my gun.

Ok, so 250 to 300 grain bullets are where I need to start.
