Having a young pup doing what it was bred to do will sure put some fire in your soul :tu:
Keep um in the woods mud !!
NICE PUP !!

Love a pup starting his career. I used to put 6-10 week old pups on the ground with baby rabbits. Fun to watch and gets them interested real early. You can tell the buck rabbits from the does by watching. The bucks would run from the pups but then turn and kick at the pups. That really fired them up.

Thanks guys!! I have high hopes for this pup, his Dam is a Field Champion his Sir is a Field Champion and hes a 3x national champion as well. The pup has good blood on top and bottom side so hopefully he makes a good one!! I know parents titles arent inherited but it gives a little.extra something to hope for! This was his first trip out so hes off to a good start! Mike, like you I wouldve loved to been able to have worked him even sooner but schedule just aint allowing me much time. He never had a sight chase or any exposure other than the few vids ive put up with him tagging along barking at old dogs. Due to losing some good ground this year its got me really thinking about building maybe training pen. Im not a huge fan of them because if your not careful a dog can learn bad habits but i think plenty of acreage with no over load of rabbits is the main thing. A man could start pups sooner and work young dogs more in a enclosure.

Im looking forward to giving this little guys plenty of ground time!!
